Will It Djent?! - Native Instruments Massive

In this new video series of mine, I will be attempting to see if a certain 'instrument' djents. Meaning, can I get something other than a guitar and make it produce a brutal groovey breakdown? This first episode tackles Massive by Native Instruments.

Massive is a wavetable synthesizer VST capable of producing essentially any common synth sound, however many people say its pretty good for making those crazy dubstep sounds that sound like a bunch of giant robots are fighting. I basically just scanned through some bass presets, then fooled around with the settings until I got a pretty distorted sound. Then I just played some parts on keyboard that I imagined would sound good played on guitar, and the base sound was created.

To create ambience behind the breakdowns, I used a piano-like sound from Massive's presets and put plenty of reverb on it. The rest of the song is just typical djent stuff - Superior Drummer and screaming vocals. Check out the video below.
